The bass player is a philosopher on strings

Friday night,
Joe Lovano is here in Taiwan, Taipei.
As a legend still alive,
the great tenor got a bitter-sweet voice,
accompanied by Bill Mays trio
(Lewis Nash on drums, and Wei-Sheng Lin林煒盛 on bass).

When Joe Lovano go a little marching in,
witty smooth melody splashing;
and Bill Mays plays the piano sounds delicate but easy;
then wild, african-roots drums of Lewis Nash...
There are lots of conversation between piano and drums,
it's hard to believe, but they really a heaven-made match.

The bass player Wei-Sheng Lin is a philosopher on the strings,
concentrated, deliberated.
He's a collector who catch each other's expressions,
sights meet to gather into the music,
and all enjoyed in his smile.

We love him,
not only because he is the Jazz son of Taiwan.
