Got back from New York yesterday. It's fabulous and at the same time very hectic, outrageously expensive, very noisy and it was so hot and humid. I'm used to living in a quiet place, going to sleep with the sound of the frogs in the nearby pound, waking up with the sound of the birds in the trees. We had a hotel room not larger than my closet, on Broadway, so imagine that!
I'd love to share some photos, but Blogger Comments does not allow active links. I really try to limit my blog photos to things related to jazz. It would be easier with an e-mail. You can use my e-mail if you want to. It is posted on my blog under Welcome Jazz Lovers.
I have to say, I was a little disappointed by the jazz I heard in NYC. But, I did not have too much time to spend exploring many venues, as we were so tired at the end of the day.
By the way, I have to comment on your blog. Lately, I have sensed a lot of emotions reading it. Not many people achieve this. You managed to bring feeling into your blog. It is very personnal and yet reserved. Nice qualities for a blog.
Now, this is going to be poorly said, as I am translating this from a french proverb, but just remember that, the deeper that sorrow carves out your soul, the more space there is to contain your future happiness...
